Finished
at 12:45am! Whoa, am I a tired mama! But with all the furniture awry, the room a mess, and the brushes to wash...I figured I'd be better off finishing the job tonight rather than tomorrow. The exact headboard plan is still TBD; hopefully I can work on it tomorrow! But I think I like the color a lot and will be happy to see it with the pictures and bedding back in the room.
Deep breath. And off to bed...

I absolutely LOVE the color, Blair! I can't wait to see it all finished and put together!
I love the color.... and I can't wait to see that headboard!
Looks so cozy!
The walls have a very soothing effect, perfect for a bedroom where a mama needs her sleep! Great work--and how nice to awaken to clean brushes and supplies. I definitely with you on that one...
It looks beautiful! Do you have any suggestions for kitchen floors? :-) My 10 year old white linoleum kitchen is about to drive me nuts, but hubby says no tiling projects before the baby comes. :-(
B-Well, actually the brushes got left wet. Oh well. I figure they got their use!
Kristen-No ideas for white linoleum...we have the same thing and our floors drive me wild! We're saving up for wood, but first a kitchen remodel, so it'll be awhile...
Looks fantastic! Wonderful color! Calming is my first thought
Kristen, in our old house we had awful cracked white linoleum. I went to Lowe's and bought giant tiles that looked like slate and had self-adhesive backs. I cut them with scissors and just laid them on top of the old linoleum and it came out great. If money were no object I definitely would have gone for wood or real tile... but this was pretty cheap and super easy. I finished it in 2 days and we had a fairly big kitchen with a lot of little trim areas (our kitchen was long with another little hallway off it). It totally changed the look of the kitchen and I went from mopping twice a day to maybe once a month. Anyway... I hate white linoleum. What's up with that? Obviously chosen by someone without kids!!!
the color looks fabulous! How Marian!!
lovely! i hope youre able to get some rest...
Blair,
The room looks wonderful!! What an instant facelift.
I second Emily's recommendation. My mother in law redid one of her rooms with the self adhesive tiles.
We have real wood in our kitchen and its a bit of a pain because so many spills (water, food, oil) go in there. And you don't wood getting wet.
Howdy Blair,
I found your blog on Julia's, hope you don't mind-we have met at Mom's group. Your paint color is beautiful. I am 30 weeks pregnant and don't know how to explain your energy except "nesting". You're an inspiration, I don't have the energy to bathe my other 2. May I add a link to your blog on my blog? What class are you? Good luck with the remaining few weeks.
Gorgeous, Blair! Feel like painting my kitchen (red)? Haha! You've done a great job and the color is perfect for you two. I can't wait to see the finished project!
