Still here

In case you were wondering :)

I'll take this post to give some big "props" to my hubby, who went out after work today to pick up a very, very large Christmas present for the girls, which will require a tremendous amount of work to put together. Thanks, honey! Is it worth it, or will it be resold and another similar but less labor-intensive gift chosen? That is the question. Any guesses as to what this gift is?

a dollhouse with a ton of little wooden pieces that need to be glued together. That's my guess.

Nah, not a dollhouse. We got a used plastic one for them as their big present last year. I would love for them to have a nice wood one, but they're content with Fisher Price. You're on the right track, though.

A swingset?

A play kitchen?? Do those need to be put together?!

We have a swingset in the backyard, thanks to Lillian's sweet hubby. And we do have a plastic kitchen. Good guesses, though!

Right track? Okay, a barn for play horses? Ummm....
I'm stumped.

Not a barn, but I'm starting to think that Ellie is really interested in horses and might like something like that! I think this will be the big (only!) present for both of them from us this year, especially since "Peter" is also getting a train table I found used a couple weeks ago.

Got to be a swing set

Is it a trampoline???

Blair said...

Nope, not a swingset or trampoline! I'm surprised no one has guessed yet! It's a very girly item ;) and very, very large!

An outdoor play house??

yes, my *first* guess was going to be a swingset, but can't really give that away....hmmmmm - what about that *real* horse @ Target? I don't think that'd need ot be put together though...

I would guess bunk beds, but that is not necessarily girly though it is labor intensive. I'm stumped.

ok, i have to guess since i think it's what you mentioned from woodlands online a few weeks ago!!
a wooden "real" playhouse that you weren't sure was going to fit in your playroom with an 8 foot ceiling, but maybe it does?!?! :)
love ya,
jess :)

Hey, no fair, Jess ;) This is actually a smaller wooden playhouse, 4x6x6. Requires a ton of work to put together, but I think it will be the perfect present :)

Jess,
You are SUCH a cheater. I swear I was JUST ABOUT to guess a 4 x 6 x 6 playhouse that would fit in a room with an 8 foot ceiling. Really!
And now I didn't win!
Waaaaaah!

I guess I missed out on the guessing game. But, I had to laugh at Shelly's guess of the big horse at Target. My kids have been 'playing' with that everytime we go shopping. Every time it neighs it scares my boys! :) It's kind of funny. I need the horse just to keep the boys in line!

Anxiously awaiting the big day, Blair!
