More Dresses

We've had a fun time the past few weeks looking at First Communion dresses for Mary Clare. We've officially scheduled her First Holy Communion for Divine Mercy Sunday (May 1st), and we are thrilled to be spending these next few weeks preparing for that wonderful day!

Here were the last 2 contenders. I loved this one below, shown without and with jacket. I didn't think I'd care for a dress with a jacket, but this one still seemed childlike enough (some really look like wedding gowns!). It wasn't her favorite though.

Finally, the WINNER (below)! I love the big bow at the back of this one, the beautiful full skirt, and the simple beading at the top. And the price tag :) Burlington Coat Factory had great deals; NeNe also bought them some gorgeous Easter dresses there which they can also wear for their Daddy Daughter Dance in May.

I'm going to try to add a little sleeve to it (one thing that was very hard to find...dresses with sleeves!), and will adjust my wedding veil for her to wear since she is insistent on using that instead of buying her own veil. I'll keep you all posted on how it works out!

Please keep our little lady in prayer as she prepares for this big day!

So beautiful!! Will that be at regular Sunday Mass? Maybe we could come! Leo will celebrate his on May 22 at our church. What an exciting time of life we're in, moms of second-graders! :D

Beautiful! How exciting.
Aslynn will be having her first communion the same weekend- though we are scheduled for the Saturday evening Mass.
Can't believe we're at this point in our little girls' lives.
