Katherine Maria Grace received the Sacrament of Baptism on Friday, February 28, 2014 at nine days old. Both of the older girls received their First Holy Communion at Annunciation Church, but this was our first baby to be baptized there. The ceremony was at 3:00 p.m. and Fr. Paul Felix administered the sacrament. She wore my grandfather's 100+ year-old baptismal gown, which was also worn by both her sisters and many cousins. Mary Clare took most of the photos, but it's a bit hard to get clear photos without a flash in the dark church and baptistry!
After the ceremony, we went to Skeeter's Restaurant where more family and friends were able to join us and meet little Katie!
It was a lovely day filled with special memories for our family. Thanks to all our family and friends who came to celebrate with us, as well as those who prayed for us from home. Thanks be to God for the gift of His grace and this beautiful Sacrament!
