Mary Clare's 11th Birthday Party

Mary Clare turned 11 in early January, but she really wanted to wait to celebrate with her Houston friends.  We finally found an opening for a skating party at the very last minute for Saturday, February 15th.  I'm so glad it worked out on this day, because her baby sister was born just four days later and I'm not sure if we could've fit the party in after that!

She wanted a glow-in-the-dark party, which was hard to do at the skating rink, but we did buy some glow bracelets and necklaces for everyone.  She picked out her cake at Kroger the night before.

Here's Ellie with one of her sweet friends since babyhood.  They are only a couple weeks apart in age.  Can't believe they're almost nine!

Steven Joseph with one of the walker things for skating.  He switched to rollerblades soon after this was taken, and he took off with his skating!

All the birthday kids got to spin this wheel for a special prize.  She won a t-shirt!

Singing!

Tommy skated too! He was the cutest little 3yr old skater!

We had a lovely evening celebrating our "tween."  She opted to ask for donations to the Make a Wish Foundation instead of gifts since it was such a last minute party.  We are proud of her generosity.  We are also thankful for all our friends who came to share this special day for Mary Clare!
