The kids woke up at 7:00am Easter morning ready to see if the bunny brought them some treats! They each got 2 toys and some other small goodies.
They found some eggs in Aunt Jill's backyard and had fun hunting in their PJs!
I think this was Thomas' first experience of candy.
Daddy even got a special gift he'd asked for, a honeybee shirt including the scientific name and a scripture about honey!
Then it was off to Mass downtown. We went to the 9:30 English one this year since it was earlier. Not too crowded and the boys both slept for part of the mass. Yay! I missed the Latin, but was glad to see some friends. Here are the girls with their friend after mass. Some pink beauties!
These boys in their ties were just too cute!!!
After Mass, we went to my parents' house where I insisted the kids take pictures before they could get their Easter goodies!
After photos and some lunch, it was time for another little egg hunt with clues!
And pretty soon it was time to head back on the road for the long drive home. Daddy put some loud techno music on and the kids had fun dancing in the sunroof and using the new bubble gun!
I'm sure my mom has some better pictures since these were all from my iPhone, but at least we have memories documented! It was a great weekend seeing our family and we had a pleasant drive home with some new DVDs for the car. Now we're back into the Monday blues...we were ready to dye some Easter eggs until we realized there were only 2 eggs in the fridge. Oh well! Maybe tomorrow.
A Happy Easter to all!

Looks like you all had a great visit. I wish that our own families were closer so we could at least see them on special weekends like this. Have fun getting back to the normal week. Happy Easter, and hey those family pictures are great.
I love your Easter pic on the doorstep, I can't get over how big and old everyone looks! What a beautiful family, Blair!
