At this time last year, we were recovering from Hurricane Ike. I'd rather not re-live that disaster, so I'll spare you the links to those crazy weeks! But this year, fall season is in full-swing, as we've finished our 3rd week of homeschooling and have been taking advantage of the nice weather we've had! One day this week, we took a long family bike ride along the waterway...
Look at Ellie's backpack with dolly!
She's just too cute!
It was windy and wonderful!
"Daddy. Bike. Daddy. Bike."
That's pretty much what I hear all day, substituting "ball" or "water" or whatever other fun thing he last did with his daddy.
Exploring
All smiles :)
Checking out some deer tracks
Some kind of lesson on construction was going on here
Oh Mr. Mitchell, how we thank you for this beautiful master-planned community! We may not live here, but we get to take advantage of all the master-planned goodness it has to offer. Waterways, bike trails, villages, parks, ponds, symphonies (went to a free one tonight), nature that hasn't been bulldozed...this man had a vision.
We biked right along the waterway into the elevator for a quick stop at the mall! What fun!
Some great memories these past weeks. Thank you, Lord, for days like these.
