What I wore Sunday

The month of December and the season of Advent are upon us! We arrived home late last night after a fun-filled week visiting family and friends in Houston.

We went out and did a little shopping on Black Friday. I've found that the crowds aren't too bad in the afternoon, unless the store is having a mega sale, like Old Navy was. The whole store was half off, so I waited in the 100 person line to check out and finally buy a few new maternity clothes!

I got this maxi skirt, some jeans, and three shirts. Hopefully they will keep me outfitted for these next few months.

Look how big my baby girl is getting! 26 weeks today :)

With my new skirt I wore an old non maternity shirt, my black clogs, a scarf, and some basic silver jewelry, including my rarely-worn charm bracelet.

Today begins two weeks filled with Nutcracker rehearsals and performances, a few Christmas parties, and preparations for a couple weeks back in Houston for Christmas. It will be a busy month!

In the midst of it all, the challenge is to realize that this is not really the Christmas season. This is Advent. The season of waiting. Our pastor challenged us about that today. Lots of good things to ponder.  May we all remember the true reason for the season!

Go and visit Fine Linen and Purple to see links to more adorable Advent attire!

You look great, Blair! That is such a cute skirt. And I didn't think the roads/ crowds were too bad in the afternoon on Black Friday, either. Except- ha! I went to Old Navy too. The 50% off was too good to pass up, but I def. could have done without the insanely long lines. :-/
