Memorial Day Weekend

started with a swim meet. I didn't get any photos, though. I was too busy trying to keep from fainting in the HEAT! It was miserable and I was so thankful that the pool was only 2 blocks away. Not sure if I'll be able to handle this weekend's full meet. The Texas Summer Heat is in full swing!

After the swim meet we attended the birthday of a dear little friend.


Talk about a knack for beauty and creativity, this mom is really talented! It was a "bunny birthday."

Sunday was a pretty relaxing day. We went to Mass and lunch, took some nice naps, and went to the pool.

On Monday, Memorial Day, our friends the G family had us over for a nice meal! Now this is what you call some good grillin'!


Godfather Enrique gave the girls their first chance at a bee-bee gun. They did pretty well.

Dressed all patriotic for Memorial Day. Mary Clare really understood this year and kept discussing the soldiers who have fought and died for our country.


On Tuesday we went to try out our new sprinkler toy at NeNe's house! Ellie and Stevie had a blast!



We're enjoying some fun summer days and will be starting with "summer school" very soon!
