Our 4th day was spent as a little religious pilgrimage!
First we visited the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception
Elizabeth Ann Marie by the Statue of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
We ate lunch at the nearby Catholic University of America, in their food court!
Then we headed down the street to the Saint John Paul II National Shrine
Of course this one was very special to us because we actually MET THIS SAINT!

And finally, our last stop was the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land
Always nursing, on every stop on this vacation!

We got our own little private tour with a docent named Peter. Everyone was so kind, even though we arrived late, they helped us to see all the unique spots of this beautiful monastery. Peter was getting antsy, so I spent some time with the little ones in the gift store, which was amazing!
While the older kids and Steven got to go underneath to the catacomb areas
They also had a Lourdes grotto outdoors. This would be a lovely spot to visit in the springtime or summer.
Day 4 was a special day, and we topped it off
walking to the burger joint just a block away from our rental house.
