Kendra from Catholic All Year won a Liebster Award and then asked some questions herself and offered all readers to answer and link-up. I enjoyed the questions and decided to play along! I'm phone blogging so I'll have to fix the fonts and links when I am back home on a computer again!
1. Where do you live? And why do you live there?
We live down by the bay in south Texas. We've been here about 2 1/2 years because of a new job for Steven. We really miss our friends, family, and homeschool community in the Houston area, though.
I was really ready for a change when we moved away, but over these years it has become obvious that it's hard to raise a large, homeschooling family without family and close friends nearby. Still, it's been a good experience and we're grateful for his wonderful job, our nice church community, and the opportunity to spend lots of days by the seashore!
2. What's are you currently watching and/or reading?
I'm reading 'Siblings Without Rivalry' (which may have been recommended by Kendra?) and 'The Father Brown Mysteries' by GK Chesterton.

I'm enjoying watching The Duggars with the girls these days. They are big fans and I'm finding the show really fun to watch now that the older girls are growing up and starting courtships. There are lots of good lessons for my preteen girls. My other favorite show to watch is House Hunters. It's all about lighthearted stuff right now!
3. What kind of Catholic are you: cradle, or convert? (Or considering?)
Cradle Catholic. So grateful for that gift!
4. Can you point to one moment or experience that made you a practicing Catholic? (Or want to be?)

I think my experience at St Mary's Catholic Center at Texas A&M University gave me the grace and knowledge of our Catholic faith that has helped us to live a more radical Catholic lifestyle. Daily mass with (now) Bishop Mike Sis and Fr David gave us the tools we needed then and now to practice our faith.
Here we are in the spot where we met after daily mass, on the steps of St Mary's, taken during our year living back in Aggieland with the two oldest kids.

5. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Not a lot by American standards. Probably 10-12.
6. Are you a good dancer?
6. Are you a good dancer?
Yes, I am a pretty good dancer! I took dance for about 12 years growing up, and I think I still have some rhythm after all these years :)
7. Who usually drives, you or your husband?

Husband.
8. What's your favorite holiday and how do you celebrate it?
I love the Christmas season...
But sometimes Christmas can be overwhelming with "to-do" lists. So my other favorite would be July 4th. We generally start the day with the parade in our hometown...
Followed by an afternoon with family celebrating my father-in-law's "birthday" (which is actually in December). Then we head back to the suburbs for the firework show. Even though we moved away, last summer Steven humored me by agreeing to leave around 5am to get there for the parade!
9. Which is correct? Left or right?
Left. Always.
10. Do you have any scars?

A nice big c-section scar from the deliveries of our five blessings!
11. What's the most famous thing you've ever done?
I was in a Randall's (grocery store) commercial in 3rd grade. It was for "Randall's Pulse Pay" when bank cards were just becoming popular. I did a few print ads too, and then I had enough of acting and modeling. I hated to miss school.
Well this has taken me several days to type on my phone since we're traveling! I'll direct others to Kendra's blog at Catholic All Year if you want to join along! Thanks for the link-up, Kendra.

Your blog looks lovely. Thanks for linking up. I can't take credit for the book recommendation, but it looks like a good one.
I like your blog a lot. Found it when I was also expecting and I guess my baby boy is couple of weeks older than your sweet baby girl.
I have also noticed after reading other American blogs that people own more than 20 pairs of shoes. Wow!!! We here, over the ocean, are too minimalistic  I might have five.
