Will there ever...

be a night where I'm not awakened by the feeling of a wet bed? Yes it's 3:30 a.m. Yes, someone wet my bed and needed a change of PJs. At least that someone was less than 6 months old, but the night before it wasn't that someone. Now I understand why my friend with 10 siblings said her parents spent ~25 years in a wet bed, LOL :)

Mike and I have promised eachother for years that when the last kid leaves for college we are going to check into a hotel and spend at least 1 night in a DRY and GRIT FREE bed. You wouldn't believe how many times I change the sheets... but it always seems that within an hour of a nice, fresh, smooth, clean sheet gracing our mattress someone either a)pees on it or b) decides to pour so much sand into their siblings hair that it won't come out in the bath... so we have to sleep in a sandy, gritty, nasty bed all night. Mortification, mortification, mortification!

I only have 9 kiddos but have learned a little trick. This last one has been treated to the more expensive diapers. I was never a believer in spending so much money on them. BUT I only had time to go to Sams one week and they only had Pampers and Huggies in his small size.

OH MY GOODNESS! Huge difference!! I went from wetness in our bed, changing clothes and sheets all every so many hours to a dry baby all night with one diaper! I never thought I would say this but I think I spend less on expensive diapers and less on laundry and less time changing and more time sleeping.

Now for the toddlers let me know what you come up with!

Yeah, it's always right after the clean sheets...or pen on the brand new white duvet cover!

I love it, Shannon...you ONLY have 9 kids, LOL! He seemed to leak in the Pampers and Huggies too although that was a few weeks back. I'll maybe give them one more chance, but for now I'm doubling up the cloth diapers at night and just got a borrowed stash of nice covers to try.

I found that if it wasn't the baby's diaper leaking it was my breast milk!
