So I've heard that a lot of my friends are making their own Moby Wrap carriers, so I decided to buy some fabric while out at Wal-Mart today. He loves it! Fell asleep immediately and it is very comfy too! And the best part...they only cost $2.50 each and don't require a sewing machine! Thank you to Stephanie and Kristen for the idea!
How to:
1. Buy 5 yards of stretchy fabric (mine is kinda lycra-y) in the $1/yard section at Wal-Mart.
2. Take it home and lay it out on the floor. Cut it in half lengthwise (so it makes 2 wraps!). Width should be about 24 inches.
3. Go to mobywrap.com or search "moby wrap" on you tube for directions on how to "wrap" yourself!
4. Watch baby fall right to sleep...

Happy baby!

Oh my goodness, is it really that easy!!!! How delightful!! ENJOY!!
Yay...I am glad he likes it. Gloria loves hers too. It feels like being pregnant again when I wear her like that...SO cool! :-)
I'm so glad you posted this. A Moby wrap was going to be the one thing I insisted that we purchase whenever we have our next baby. Now I can have a few in different colors. Awesome!
pretty cool, Blair..I'm going to see if I can find myself some fabric over here! Now, if only there was a Wal-mart over here!
Thanks for the link to my blog. Your picture in the hallway looked so much neater/cleaner than mine! A mini-Moby is a precious idea, I'll have to make one when I get home. This Moby thing is spready quickly.
That is GORGEOUS fabric and I'm amazed by how tightly you have wrapped it! I am still hunting for my perfect fabric but practicing with the fabric I have now nonetheless....I want to be able to do it in my sleep! :) haha! :) Way to go!
OK - so over a year after reading this, I bought some material for our baby #4 and looked up this old post of yours. The only problem is that I didn't get as good of a deal as you since Wal-mart has stopped selling fabric (or they did here anyway). My 40% off Hobby Lobby coupon helped, though. Thanks again for this wonderful idea!
